I've been away for the last two weeks or so and haven't been blogging. Lying in the sun has been my priority for the last while but I'll be back on Monday fo' sho! See you then..!

'Oh the places you'll go'
I loves me some ankle boots and was inspired recently by the super blog www.wheredidugetthat.com to make my own..sort of. Karen (oh, we're so on first name terms..not!) has put up a couple of posts of knee length boots of hers that she has gotten bored with and chopped. Soo, I did the same with a pair of 60s style knee-high boots that I liked but just wasn't wearing. Making them shorter has made them seem brand new to me which is good for my wardrobe and m'bank balance!
Good times...good times!

Oh my my, Miu Miu
I love these Miu Miu sparklers for Autumn/Winter 2011. I am not too keen on the fact that their current model is 14 year old actress Hailee Steinfeld, given that it the line is aimed at grown women however. I'm sure they won't be losing any sleep over my humble opinion though.
Next season's offerings from Miu Miu are whimsical and wearable. These shoes project strength and femininity with the thick, somewhat sturdy heel grounding the frivolity of the pastel colours and glitter. Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder and, for whatever reason, these cartoony confections make my heart go pitter patter. I can imagine a desperately cracked up 1940s housewife/Minnie Mouse wearing them to pop to the shops. I on the other hand might look a bit odd running around the local Centra in them but I willing to give it a go.

'There is a season, turn turn, turn..'
Someone told me the other day that, en Irlande, we are officially already into autumn!? This is upsetting.
That said, I like planning for autumn/winter dressing as extended periods of sunshine are sporadic over here. Good thing I'm off to the sun in less than two weeks (see the way I casually dropped that into the convo? No? Oh..) I can't waaaait!! Meanwhile...

I am still pretty wrecked after an amazing Bank Holiday weekend. Prince was incredible! If you haven't seen him live then you are missing out. I danced my 'til my feet fizzed off!
Looking forward now to the rest of August; there is lots more fun to come!
As for the blog, hopefully I will come up with something more interesting to blog about tomorrow but until then...
