Ladies and Gentlemen, Prince Roger Nelson...

Never knowingly under-dressed
I'm off to see the incredible Prince tomorrow in Malahide Castle. Hope you have a great weekend wherever you are!

Bringing the funk

Prince always blow-dried his own hair

La-la-la; can't hear you!

'Did I leave the iron on?'

Paris, jt'aime (well, you're okaaay)

I came home yesterday evening to find my housemate watching a french film called The Red Ballon. It probably won't come as much of a surprise to hear that a large red balloon features heavily throughout the film which is set in Paris. It follows a young boy running around the cobbled back streets of gay Pa-ree and is quite lovely to watch. Now, as I mentioned in my previous post on Berlin, every year I make a list of the places I want to visit and I then make an effort to go. Anyhoo, last year Paris was on the list. I was so exited to finally visit the City of Light but here's a tip. DO NOT GO TO PARIS BY YOURSELF BECAUSE IT IS COMPLETLY DEPRESSING WHEN YOU ARE ALONE!!! It's worth mentioning that I don't usually travel by myself like some present day Greta Garbo but it was a last minute decision and I really don't mind spending time avec moi. However, on reflection, I think Paris is proabably best shared with someone else be it a friend, family or fella! I hope someday soon a fine young man will take me there and I can redress my experience. With that said here are some beautiful images to gaze upon. Regardez!

I know I left my giant red balloon somewhere...

Oh FFS Carrie!

Le Yum

Everyone told me before I went 'Oh the Moulin Rouge is quite seedy' and I thought 'Oh,do shut up' but, eh, they were right.

Le Tour Eiffel

Do you like my red balloon?

Y'wait for one balloon to come along, then 36 come at once...

'And you can dance. For inspiration'

My computer is 'ill'at the moment so I'm not at my full blogging powers. I need to get it fixed again (!) so I'm borrowing another laptop at the mo. In the mean time just enjoy these lovely images.

Black and white

Bare legs shocker!
Today was warm in Dublino; hazzaar!! This meant I could bare my legs in a skirt and some heels. When it got chilly later I threw on my trusty black and white cardi. Hope the sun is shining where you are!

Sparkly shoulders

The other Ms. Knowles

Ladies & Gents, I give you, Solange Knowles!
So we all know that Beyonce Knowles runs the world, is Sasha Fierce on her days off, is toootally bootylicious and bought the rocks she's rockin' 'cause she's an independent woman etc. etc. However, let us not forget, that there is another super-stylin' and equally fierce Knowles in the form of B's younger sister Ms. Solange Knowles.

Solange has a slightly edgier style to her big sister and is a definite style inspiration. No, I doubt I will ever crop my hair the way she did but I like the way she pushes the sartorial envelope just enough and always looks effortlessly cool. Forget Alexa Chung and Olivia Palermo. My current style icon is Ms. Solange. I am particularly loving the very 90s braids she is rocking at the mo. Very cool, ice cold in fact. Regardez!
Solange felt like her outfit was missing something...
